Argentina: General Electric associates with Gener.

The US General Electric Power Systems (60%) has associated in Argentina with Gener (40%), creating Servicios Integrales de Generacion de Energia Electrica, that will manage the 30,76% stake held by Gener in the power company Central Puerto that includes two power plants in Buenos Aires and another at Loma de la Lata, Neuquen province. The first move will be to win the management and firm the control in Central Puerto, that accounts for 20% of the thermal power generated in Argentina, and is also owned by Chilquinta (15,34%), Pacifico International 15,34%, and with 38,56% of its shares scattered in the stock market.
