Peru: American Airlines signed letter of intention with Aeroperu.

American Airlines signed a letter of intention that allows it to acquire a stake in Aeroperu Peruvian airlines. The American company will soon start analyzing Aeroperu's operating and financial situation (due dilligence), which will be finished within a few weeks. Aeroperu's current shareholders, Delta Airlines (35%) and Mexico's Cintra (35%), will no longer hold interests in the Peruvian company. Aeroperu owns 11 airplanes. It will soon add a new Boeing 737 airplane to its fleet. The company's load factor reached 70% last January.
