Brazil: Konica introduces digital office equipment line.

Konica Corp. is introducing in the Brazilian market its digital product range, that includes photocopiers, printers, and multi function equipment (fax, scannerr, etc.). The company selected as local distributors IRB Risograph, and Standard, that are already receiving orders for the equipment. Estimates are to sales of 1,000 units in 1999, a figure similar to the overall Latin American sales in 1998, and to generate a US$10mil income over the first year of operations, reaching US$30mil by year 2000.
