Chile: Vina Concha y Toro led wine exports.

Vina Concha y Toro's wine exports amounted to US$36.2mil over the 1st semester of 1999, a 16.2% decrease in comparison with the same period of 1998. San Pedro, the 2nd major Chilean exporter over the period, rose its exports by 9.9%, to US$21.7mil. Valdivieso's exports rose 154%, while Francisco de Aguirre's rose 161.4% and La Rosa's rose 110.9% over the period. The Chilean overall wine exports amounted to US$215mil in the 1st semester of 1999 (3.6% decrease). Exports volume totaled 94.4mil liters (3.65% decrease). The national bottled wine exports amounted to US$152mil, which corresponded to 6.5mil boxes. The national exports to the US amounted to US$49.7mil, followed by United Kingdom with US$47.6mil, Canada (US$14.9mil), Germany (US$11.9mil) and Japan...
