Brazil: Enron sells energy to Elfusa.

Enron's energy selling subsidiary started purchasing power energy from Santa Elisa and Vale do Rosario sugar mills located in Ribeirao Preto, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil in order to sell it to aluminum oxides producer Elfusa, located in Sao Joao da Boa Vista, State of Sao Paulo, as of the beginning of this month. The energy was transmitted by CPFLand Cesp and distributed by Elektro. Elfusa had already made a long-term contract with Elektro to be supplied with 32,250 MW. With the new contract, Elfusa will have an additional energy supply of 3 MW during August with a discount of between 5% and 10% in relation to the normal price (R$42 per MWh).
