Brazil: Heineken wants to firm stake in Kaiser.

South American Business Information, September, 1999

Heineken is willing to firm its stake in the Brazilian brewery Kaiser, where it currently holds 14,8%. Heineken's chief executive in Brazil Mr.Alexander Van Heuven is waiting Kaiser assets, estimated at R$1bil, to reach a reasonable price in order to bid for it. The move would benefit from the decision of Coca Cola to focus in soft drinks, threatened by small companies, leaving the alcoholic beverages business.
