CEI Citicorp Holdings (Hicks Muste Tate & Furst) and Telefonica are facing a crucial moment of the partnership made in 1997 to move into the media & communications market in Argentina. The discrepancies between the partners involve AtCo, CableVision, and Cointel. CEI and Telefonica hold each 26,8% in AtCO, where other partners are Constancio Vigil (26,8%) and Torneos y Competencias (10,6%). AtCO has control over Telefe (television broadcasting) Radio Continental (radio broadcasting), and Editorial Atlantida (publishing).The companies have 35,9% each in CableVision, one of the leading cable televisions in Argentina with 1.2mil subscribers, partnered with TCI (AT&T) with 28,2%.
