Brazil: General Instrument launches cable Internet decoder.

General Instrument (US) is to launch in January in Brazil SurfView, a decoder priced only US$100, that allows subscription television users to have access to Internet services to be offered by cable television from November onwards. SurfVay, that operates in a WoldGate platform, is already being tested by the television operator Image in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais state.
