As far as assets are concerned (1999 data), the Brazilian financial market is shared by Banco do Brasil (17.78%), CEF (17%), Bradesco, Baneb, BCN and Credireal (10.1%), Itau, Banerj, Bemge and BFB (6.7%), Unibanco (4.4%), Banespa (3.5%), Real and ABN Amro (3.3%). In terms of credits, the market is shared as follows: CEF (20.3%), Banco do Brasil(19.8%), Banespa (8%), Bradesco (5%), Nacional (3.87%), Itau (3.58%), Bamerindus (3.54%), Unibanco (3%), Nossa Caixa Nosso Banco (2.5%). In terms of deposits, the market is shared by CEF (20%), Banco do Brasil (14.7%), Bradesco (6.1%), Nacional (5.6%), Banespa (5.53%), Itau (4.5%), Bamerindus (4%), Unibanco (3%), Nossa Caixa Nosso Banco (2.3%).
