Argentina: FCC, Vivendi, won sanitary services concession in.

The Spanish company Proactiva Medio Ambiente, subsidiary of the group Fomento de Construcciones y Contratos (FCC), and the French Vivendi, won the concession for the water services and the sewage drainage system in three districts in Catamarca. The transfer will probably be at the end of May , beginning of June. The clauses in the bidding commit the company to invest US$38mil of which US$12mil will have to be invested in the first five years to improve the infrastructure. Last June 19th the winning company offered the provincial Government an initial levy of $250,000 pesos and 12.5% of the collection, in a two-monthly levy concept, around $90,000 pesos.
