Chile: ABB forecasts sales of US$100mil.

ABB Chile, which presently generates annual sales of US$40mil, forecasts sales of US$100mil for the year 2002. ABB's Chilean subsidiary will provide engineering services for Bechtel and ABB BMI due to the US$45mil contract signed between ABB BMI and the Chilean mining company Minera Escondida. Bechtel was hired by Minera Escondida to advise the development of the 4th phase of its expansion project. ABB holds a 32% market share in the mining sector.
