Brazil : Telefonica invests in data communications.

South American Business Information, June, 2000

Until the end of 2000 year Telefonica Empresas will invest R$400mil in data communications, informed its vice chairman Mr Yon Moreira da Silva Junior. Recently the company launched its project Telefonica InternetData Center - TIC, which required R$50mil in investments. In 1999 Telefonica had a R$11.8bil turnover in Brazil.
