Brazil: 360Networks makes contract with Intelig and France.

The Canadian telecommunications infra-structure company 360Networks announced its first contract in Brazil worth US$100mil. The company will supply wide band capacity of the optical fibers submarine network connecting North and South America to Intelig and France Telecom. Theinitial capacity will be of 40 to 80 Gbps reaching 1,28 terabits per second in 2002. Intelig invested US$60mil and 60% of the capacity will be used by its mirror company
