Brazil : ABB to set up wind power utility.

ABB has plans to set up a wind electric power facility in Brazil, able to generate 200 Mw of power. It is likely o be based at Ceara state, where already operates two similar facilities able to generate 16 Mw of energy, enought to supply 40,500 households. The states of Minas Gerais and Parana also have wind power plants able to generate together 4Mw. The overall wind based capacity of the country reaches 20Mw. The new facility will be constructed with technology recently developed by ABB, and will require the signature of the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) with the local electric power operator.
