Peru: Repsol YPF to invest US$250mil until 2002.

South American Business Information, September, 2000

Repsol YPF Peru plans to invest US$250mil until June, 2002. The company has invested US$228mil in Peru since 1997, of which US$178mil to open and modernize service stations and US$50mil in exploration. Repsol YPF suggested that national service stations could import gasoline and then store it in Petroperu's fuel terminals (now managed by Grana y Monteroand Serlipsa-Van Ommeren). The move would allow those service stations to sell gasoline at lower prices than Petroperu's and Relapasa's.
