Chile: Cristalerias de Chile took out US$100mil loan.

Cristalerias de Chile took out a US$100mil syndicated loan to back Metropolis Intercom's acquisition. Cristalerias' subsidiary Cordillera Comunicaciones purchased a 40% stake in the cable television operatorand also its fiber optics cable network. The deal was worth US$270mil, of which US$250mil to be paid in the short term - the 40% stake costed US$125mil. Cordillera Comunicaciones now holds 100% in Metropolis Intercom.
