Brazil : Rhodia associates with Acordis.

Chemicals producer Rhodia do Brasil has announced a partnership with Acordis (Netherlands) through its subsidiary Cobafi (Companhia Bahia de Fibras). Both companies plan to process their polyamide and polyester textiles,used for the production of tires, in Rhodia's industrial complex to be installed at Santo Andre, Sao Paulo state. The unit to start operations in 2002 will demand US$15mil investments. It will have capacity to produce 12.000 - 15.000 m tons per year.
