Brazil: Dell to manufacture network servers.

The major producer of PC=B4s worldwide Dell Computers, operating for one year in Brazil, reported a great performance in the country reaching the fourth place in the ranking after five months of operations. The company recently announced the production of network servers in its Eldorado do Sul-based unit (Rio Grande do Sul). R$120mil is to be invested in Brazil over the next five years, including the construction of a new plant in Eldorado do Sul to replace the former one. Besides supplying the domestic market,. the Brazilian production will be exported to Argentina and Chile.The company did not disclose its profits in the country but pointed out an increase of 56% over it in Latin America. Dell will face giants like Compaq, HP and IBM.
