Brazil: CRT and Visa made partnership for payment of toll.

CRT (Concessionaria Rio-Teresopolis) and the credit card services company Visa made a partnership according to the payment of Visa Verde (payment electronic system for the roadway toll) may be made throughcredit cards. CRT expects an increase of 30% in the number of users currently of 2.700. CRT, licensee of Rio-Teresopolis roadway since march 1996, expects an income of R$39mil in 2000 against the R$35mil reached in 1999.
