Brazil : increase exports of mobile communication equipment.

The Brazilian exports of mobile communications equipment will reach a record in 2000. Motorola expects to end the period with 280% growth in exports, surpassing 5mil units, while Ericsson expects 500% increase in external sales, reaching 3mil units. Both companies destinate major partof their products to Latin American market. Motorola will produce 12mil mobile communications equipment in Brazil in 2000. This is part of its strategy to reduce imports said its officer Mr Voney Silveira. According to him the Brazilian demand for telecommunications equipment is a good reason for local production.
