Brazil: IBM invests in a 2,500 servers datacenter.

The US giant IBM is to bring to Brazil its worldwide structure USF (Universal Server Farm). IBM held several activities in the Internet hosting area and datacenters in the country mainly concentrated in Hortolandia-based unit (Sao Paulo). The company is to inaugurate a 2,500 servers center to be sited inside Diveo Broadband Networks facilities in Tambore (Sao Paulo). Diveo and IBM made a US$120mil partnership for Latin America to provide hosting services. IBM plans investments of US$4bil over the next three years to set up other similar structures. In Brazil, the company already held 90 clients in the sector, to be transfered to the new facility.
