Chile: AFP Magister to acquire Planvital.

Market sources said that pension funds firm AFP Magister plans to acquire AFP Planvital. They added that the former would make investments of between US$20mil and US$24mil in the latter, but remarked that the companies have not defined a price for the sale yet. AFP Magister held a 3.13% market share last February, while AFP Planvital held 2.62%. Together, the 2 companies would be ranked as the last player. AFP Magister has recently acquired AFP Aporta Fomenta for US$6mil.
