Brazil : Atos Origin improves performance.

Atos Origin ended 2000 with US$2.52bil in profits, 3,8% growth compared with the US$2.43bil reported in 1999. The company did not disclose the performance of its subsidiaries but Mr Joakim Thrane the CEO of the Brazilian Atos Origin informed local operations increased compared with 1999, when earnings reached R$120mil. Prospect is to double business in Brazil within the next three years. Atos acquired Origin (controlled by Philips) in August 2000.
