MaxBlue to launch credit card.

Paulo Cesar Ximenes, ex-chairman of Banco Central and Banco do Brasil, takes over MaxBlue with the challenge to conquer 350,000 new clients. The company is integrating the technology platform to Banco do Brasil' (more than 3,000 branches), preparing the launch of credit card with Visa brand and evaluating operation in consumer credit segment. MaxBlue is held by Deutsche Bank group and was created to offer consulting services to personal finance and resources managment. In November 2001, Banco do Brasil acquired 49,9% of of MaxBlue America Holding for US$90mil. MaxBlue currently has 3,000 clients and manages R$200mil.
