Manquehue Net for sales.

The management of the telecommunications Manquehue Net, controlled by National Grid (30%), Williams Communications (16,4%) Metrogas (25,6%), and Rabat family (21,2%) began to contact companies interested to acquire its assets. ABN Amro coordinates the selling off process of Manquehue Net that has 90,000 customers. Early 2001 Manquehue Net announced investments of US$310mil from 2000 - 2003 put on hold as it was not able to win more customers that reached 100,000 by September 2001. Also the company ended 2001 with losses of US415mil. Around 893,65 of its income if from local and public telephone services 7,6% from long distance, 6% from Internet, and 2,8% from cable television.
