According to IDC (International Data Corporation) the use of pagers will concentrate amongst doctors and IT professionals. Conectel, operating for eight years in Brazil, had 30% share of the domestic market in 1997 when the country had 1mil pagers users. Brazil currently has 80,000 users. With a turnover of R$20mil in 2001, Conectel charges a monthly fee of between R$20,00 and R$25,00. The company decided to concentrate in the vehicles tracking service. Mobitel, turned over R$30mil in 2001 with 20,000 users.
