Manqueuhe Net registers Pesos$2,149.9mil losses over Q1/2002.

The Chilean telecom operator Manquehue Net, controlled by National Gird (30%), Williams Communications (16,4%) and by the Chilean companies Metrogas (25,6%) and by Rabat family (21,2%), has been changing its managers since April 2002 due to financial problems and appointed as general manager Jorge Ruiz, replacing Phil M'Caw. The company is searching for strategic partners or assets sales trough the Dutch investments bank ABN Amro as its debt is fast increasing. Over the Q1/2002 the company registered Pesos$2,149.9mil losses and its liabilities are divided into Pesos$2,559mil accounts in debt with providers, US$55mil due to its bonds and a US$18mil credit with 5 banks (4 Chilean and 1 foreign bank).
