Oi loses R$1mil per day.

The cell phone services company Oi, held by Telemar, loses R$1mil per day due to the delay on the launch of its service. The company depends on Anatel (Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes) to start up. Oi will start operations in 14 from the 16 states covered by it. The company plans investments of R$2.7bil until 2004. Oi already made deals with big retail chains including Lojas Americanas, Casas Bahia, Brasimac, C&A and Carrefour.
