Foreign oil companies show interest in YPF.

Foreign oil companies are interested in acquiring YPF SA, because of its fall in value. BP Amoco, Shell and Petrobras are some of these companies. Repsol YPF owns 99.03% of YPF SA. YPF's ADR devalued by 44.8% this year, and its parent company also lost value, as shares dropped by 30% in value. Repsol YPFs value is lower than YPF's when this company was acquired by Repsol in 1999.
