PanAmSat to offer satellite communications services.

PanAmSat, operator of a 21 satellites network worldwide, is waiting on the authorization of Brazilian telecom agency Anatel (Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes ) to use the satellite Pas 9 in Brazil. The company intends to expand the offer of Band KU, which main competitor is Star One subsidiary of Embratel. PanAmSat turned over US$12mil in Brazil with the World Cup broadcasting. Brazil currently has 11 satellite operators and Star One corners the market.
