EDF to sell off Light.

EDF (Electricite de France) may sell off assets in Europe, China and Brasil. The company is intending to sell off Brazilian electric power company Light. According to market analysts, Light would be worth R$2.8bil. The figure is lower than the US$1bil injection made by EDF one month ago. In 2001, Light had a loss of R$429mil mainly due to the increasingly US dollar and its debt tied to that currency.
