The US Eximbank has granted a guarantee of US$1.1bil to Pemex (Petroleos Mexicanos), which resources will be used to finance various investment projects related to gas and light crude extraction. These will take the form of imports of capital goods and services from US companies. Eximbank is merely providing a guarantee; the money will come from commercial banks. There is no set time frame for using the resources.
