Sempra Energy and Pacific LNG would sign in February 2003 the contract for the export of Bolivian liquid natural gas to the US and Mexican markets, starting with a minimum of 30mil m3 per day. Pacific LNG, teaming Repsol YPF, British Gas, and British Petroleum, is to invest US$5bil to develop the whole project and already started drilling wells to expand the reserves, that currently secure a 15 years supply, and might be enough to double this period.
