The US Eximbank has announced the creation of US$100mil line of credit for investment in environmental projects in Mexican municipalities. The financing must be tied to the purchase of capital goods and supplies from US companies, who will be paid directly by the bank once a project has been improved. The evaluation of possible projects will be done by Banobras, and 87 possible projects have already been identified, of which 47 are in the area of water, 34 in solid waste management and six in renewable energy.
