Ajinomoto to continue investing in Peru.

The Japanese Ajinomoto company, present in Peru for 35 years, with its Ajinomoto Peru company and Ajinomoto Foundation, sees Peru as entering into a period of growth which merits increased investment in the country. The company's most recent product in the country, the Ajinomen noodle soup has experienced strong sales since its introduction and the company is considering offering more flavors and opening a new factory. The company has a policy of using local suppliers as much as possible. In the case of Peru, local suppliers are responsible for between 95% and 98% of basic materials. Ajinomoto has invested US$10mil in Peru in recent years
