Braskem to raise US$500mil.

The Brazilian petrochemicals company Braskem has recently launched in the international market a program aimed at raising US$500mil. The first tranche will be of US$100mil. The issuance will be coordinated by Credit Suisse in partnership with Banco Pactual. Besides Braskem, other three companies started a road-show to raise overseas. The Brazilian state owned oil & gas company Petrobras, is offering uS$500mil. CSN (Companhia Siderurgica Nacional) and Acominas/Gerdau plan US$200mil and US$100mil, respectively. AmeriSteel, held by Gerdau group, has recently raised US$405mil in the US market.
