BB and Oi launch the first mobile bank.

The Brazilian mobile telephone services operator Oi is launching in partnership with the Brazilian bank Banco do Brasil a technology that guarantees the security during banking transactions made through the mobile phone. As an example, Oi technology allows the clients to have the bank statement offline, through the Oi chip, which is connected to the system of Banco do Brasil. All the clients of Oi, pos and pre-paid ones, will be able to use the services of the mobile bank by replacing the current chip with the new chip, for R$31. Meanwhile, the Internet portal iG and the Commercial Association of Sao Paulo launched the portal iJ, targeted at the specific demands of the small and middle-sized companies....
