Grupo Continental invests US$48mil in new plant, production and dsitribution.

The Coca-Cola bottling company, Contal (Grupo Continental), has invested around US$48mil in the construction of its mega-plant in Aguascalientes and in expanding production lines for sodas and bottled water in various plants, as well as in transportation equipment The new plant in Aguascalientes replaces the previous plant, constructed in 1972. Grupo Continental is one of the most important Coca-Cola bottlers in Mexico, covering 14.5% of the country. The beverage industry in Mexico maintains a margin of profitability higher than most other industries. Grupo Continental has a margin of 17.3%.
