Petroecuador invites offers to export 43mil barrels of crude on 2004.

The Ecuadorian state owned Petroecuador is inviting 50 companies to present proposals to place 43mil barrels of crude (120,000 bpd) in the international markets during 2004, as the current contract ends on December 2003. Current contractors are LG International, RWE Trading, Valero, Shell, Shell Western, and Petrojamaica. Estimates for 2004 are to a raise on the Ecuadorian production of 52% from private companies and 16-30,000 bpd from Petroproduccion, what means higher exports. Private companies are to export 84.57mil barrels and Petroecuador 48.84mil.
