The Brazilian publicly-held companies are ranked first in the Latin American most profitable listing. Among the 20 largest results in the region in the first quarter of the year, 11 are from Brazilian companies and seven from Mexican. The data are part of a survey by Economatica. Petrobras, one more time, appeared in the first position with US$1.366bil. Besides the company ranked 23rd in the survey that includes companies from the United States.
