Argentina: Molinos Rio de la Plata invests US$1.9mil in Chile.

Molinos Rio de la Plata, the Argentinean food company which is owned by the Perez Companc group, has invested US$1.9mil in Novaceites, a 50/50 joint venture in the Chilean vegetable oil sector with Corpora Tresmontes, the Chilean producer of instant cold and hot drinks. The investment was made through the group's Chilean subsidiary Molinos Chile. Novaceites has agreed to acquire Miraflores, the leading vegetable oil brand in Chile, from Corpora Tresmontes.
