WCE Grain/Oilseed Futures Mixed, Canola Lifted by Rain, CBOT.

Grain and oilseed futures at the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange finished Tuesday's session mixed with oilseeds higher and feed grains lower, mirroring the close at the Chicago Board of Trade where the soy complex was up and corn was lower, floor sources said.

Canola posted gains with the biggest advances in the new crop in moderate trade. There was only moderate activity in the July/Nov spread.

Exporter and crusher buying met commercial selling. The buying was a combination of pricing by Japanese crushers and short covering. The selling was comprised of profit taking and increased hedge selling by elevator companies, brokers said. Commodity fund buying was also evident today.
