MANLEY: WAR NOT AFFECTING CANADA-US RELATIONS 

Vancouver - As world peace is shaken by bombs launched at Iraq, Deputy Prime Minister John Manley assured a meeting of BC Liberals that Canada's decision to wait out the war hasn't hurt relations with the US.

Manley said in conversations he's had this week with his counterpart on homeland security, US Secretary Tom Ridge has acknowledged all that Canada has done to preserve peace.

"He reflected on the participation that there has been by Canadians in the war on terror, he acknowledged the presence of our ships in the Gulf and the efforts we have made to make the North American continent more secure.
