BATISTA TOO MUCH FOR DEVIL RAYS 

St. Petersburg, Florida - It looked easy and it was.

After appearing sharp in previous outings against National League teams from Philadelphia and Cincinnati, Miguel Batista turned it up a notch against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

It was his first appearance in a Jays uniform against an American League opponent and the right-hander wouldn't mind them all to be this much of a breeze.

In four innings, Batista gave up no runs on one hit, walked two and struck out four.

"It was a good day, I'll take that any day," he said. "I didn't have my best speed but I felt good and I had better command than my first two outings."...
