Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures are called mixed, 2 US cents per bushel on either side of unchanged. Continued harvest pressure and improved US crop ratings should weigh on the futures, said traders. However, positive export news, along with a lower than expected US monthly soy crush, should provide some support to the market.
The US soybean crush for the month of August was pegged at 96.494 million bushels by the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA), Tuesday morning. Average market estimates had called for a crush of roughly 101.8 million bushels. The crush was down by 12.166 million bushels from the previous month.
