Wheat Watch: CBOT Wheat Called Steady To Higher.

Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures are called steady to 1 US cent per bushel higher at Friday's open, with follow-through strength expected after Thursday's firmer close. However, large world production and good weather for the US winter wheat crop should keep any advances in check.

CBOT wheat futures were steady to 1 1/4 US cents per bushel higher in overnight electronic trade.

In export news, Japan's Staple Foods Department tendered to buy 121,000 metric tons of wheat for November delivery. Of the wheat, 80,000 tons is of US origin, 21,000 tons is Canadian durum and 20,000 is from Australia.
