Alberta Cattle Producers Voluntarily Registering Cattle.

Alberta Cattle producers have voluntarily submitted more than 30,000 birth date records, as of July 11, to the Canadian Cattle Identification Agency's (CCIA) age verification website, helping to bolster the industry's international reputation, said Alberta Minister of Agriculture Doug Horner in a press release.

"Clearly Alberta's producers recognize how vital age verification and improved cattle traceability are to opening new markets for Canadian beef," said Horner in the release. "By taking the small step of voluntarily registering birth records, producers are having a big impact on the future of the industry," he added while offering his congratulations to producers.
