Canadian Dollar And Business Outlook.

Winnipeg, MB, Oct 11, 2005 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Canadian dollar was showing some weakness Tuesday morning, pressured by the firmer tone seen in the US currency. After its recent strength the Canadian dollar was thought to be experiencing a slight retracement.

While the Canadian dollar was under some selling pressure on Tuesday, expectations that the Bank of Canada will raise interest rates next week provided some support.

Canadian housing starts were at an annual rate of 230,500 in September, up 12% from the previous month, reported the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp.
