WCE Grain/Oilseed Review: Canola Falls On Weak CBOT.

WINNIPEG, MB, May 04, 2006 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- Grain and oilseed futures at the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) finished Thursday's session mostly lower as canola prices were pressured down by weakness in the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean complex and steady farmer pricing, brokers said.

Canola saw a moderate trade with intermonth spreading accounting for about a third of the activity as commercials rolled July contracts into November.

An estimated 3,886 contracts were involved in the spread trade with the total canola volume estimated at 9,197 contracts, up from Wednesday's 4,858 contracts.
