Midday WCE Futures: Canola Down On Soy, Funds.

Winnipeg, Aug 11, 2006 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- Grain and oilseed futures at the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) at midday on Friday are lower with sharp losses in canola as the weak tone in Chicago Board of Trade soy complex futures and aggressive commodity fund selling sent the market down, brokers said.

Canola saw an active trade with moderate levels of Nov/Jan spreading noted with much of the spread trade being legged. An estimated 7,546 canola contracts had traded by midday.
